Hello all, 

I am trying to understand, how "follow" function works in odoo, and I need your help.

If I wish to get all notifications about changes, new stages, or any other update in any document - what must be done to get it to my discussion inbox ? I have set to be notified in odoo system, not by emails, but I am not getting any result. Even if someone adds me as follower, i am not notified. 


Also I found this doc in odoo site (\https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/13.0/discuss/tracking.html)

Does somebody know - this is only enterprise version, or ce also has this options ?

  1. Make sure that you not just follow the document, but you are also subscribed to required subtypes. To that end press the button pencil near your user in the list of followers and edit subscriptions
  2. Take into account that changes introduced by yourself and message sent by yourself would not appear in your inbox (no sense to notify by own changes)
  3. Make sure that your outgoing email server is correctly set up (are other emails arrive from Odoo?), your and sender user addresses are correctly set up. Check also your spam inbox.
