Is there a way to track work in progress (WIP) within inventory? Quantities on hand, expiration, lot #s, orders they are committed to, etc.


Have seen reference to tracking $ value of WIP inventory (more for accounting), but have not been able to find anything related to inventory WIP tracking.


Anyone customized or had success doing this?

The Moves History Menu shows the status of Transfer lines - most Users setup 2 or 3 step Manufacturing and use this Menu to see quantities demanded, available and used together with the reference Manufacturing Order and Lot/Serial of the Product. 

You can add a custom related field for the Expiration Date of the Lot/Serial.
