We are about to start our first projects on Odoo and I would like to check if the website module is required as a complement to the email marketing module in order to allow contacts to manage their subscription preferences?
If not, how is the preference page managed? I haven't seen anything in the videos or in the configuration pages.

No, it is not necessary to have the Website application installed on your db for recipients to be able to unsubscribe from your mailings. [for Odoo Online] Everything works out of the box :D
