In v13,

  1. Can bar codes be printed on the sales receipt from the Point of Sale application? 
  2. Is bar code scanning supported in the POS application?

Yes, Barcode scanning is supported in POS

If you want to print the barcode of the receipt this is not available by default but there is an app available in Odoo App Store which prints the product image in the receipt. You can install it and use the barcode as product image.
