Project task recurrence in Odoo v17 is defunkt. It's no longer possible to set it in a similar way compared to earlier versions, and it's impossible to know when the next occurence(s) will be. 

  • Can't select day of the week
  • Unclear what will be the reference date for the reoccurence
  • Existing tasks from before v17 with occurence, will not work with v17 because there simply is no reference date anymore. 

I would add images to illustrate, but this forum won't let me add images because I have not enough karma yet.

How is this possible, how will this be fixed?

Hello,

There is configuration > settings > task management > where you need to click on the recurring tasks and then there is recurrent btn will show on task (which is shown in the photo below in purple color on the right hand below in progress) on which you need to click then you can select when you need to have the task again created
