When I Invoice in a "Unit of Measurement" (UOM) which is greater than the Base UOM, the system calculates the margin by subtracting the Base Unit Cost from the Selling Price, which results in a very high (incorrect) margin of profit.

I believe this is a software error?

I believe you are giving Selling Price as per Base Unit.  You need to define the price list as per Unit Of Measure.

For Example  Item A is having two Units of measure

1- Packet

2- Dozen   (1 dozen =12 Packet,

The system always calculating the COST as per Base Unit. In the case is selling price for 1 Packet for Product A is 1  then you should define 12 while choosing DOZEN.

In the case of any concern, please let me know.
