Hi,


Very simple question here but I cannot find the answer.  Can we look for value of a field of a specific record in a model from spreadsheet? For instance look up for email value of record ID 4 in res.partner ?

First insert the list of Customers in your Spreadsheet, right from the List View:

Note: doing it this way will will insert all existing and future records, you don't need to refresh the spreadsheet, the list of Customers will grow over time as it grows in the Menu you are inserting from.


This will create a new tab, in our case Customers (List #1) 

Note: you will need to insert the ID column and enter a formula for it (look at the others and you should be able to work it out) and drag down to fill out the ID for all records).


Then use VLOOKUP in the first tab:


In this case we are searching for the email of Customer with ID=3 (which is in the 4th column of the unsorted list we inserted in the second tab).

=VLOOKUP(3, 'Customers (List #1)'!A:H,4,False)
