hello all,

We have an Odoo website with a blog section with different blog pages and we set French as default language and added English as second language (www.dhac.ch)

Usually, we are preparing content in French and then use Odoo translation when we are in the English version, the process can take time as this is paragraph per paragraph and hyperlink usually jump, but this is was working fully.

To do so, we were selecting the text to translate and simply click on the translate button, choosing the right language and validating the translation.

Since few weeks, we are unable to do these step for our blog pages.. I did try multiple browser but the only was to proceed is to retype the text in English, which really not efficient anymore.

any idea what is wrong with?wen

Hi,

This stopped working because Odoo recently changed how inline translation works on blog pages. The old Translate button was removed.

Now, to add your English version, you need to:

  1. Switch to English on the website.
  2. Use Edit Translation from the editor toolbar.
  3. Make sure English is enabled under Website → Configuration → Languages.

If it still doesn’t appear, it could be a bug in your current build. As a fallback, you can always add translations manually via Settings → Translations → Application Terms.
