Hello,

I’m currently implementing Odoo (v17) and need some help setting up a specific sales and manufacturing workflow.

Scenario:

  • We are selling a product (e.g., bread ) via our website eCommerce module.
  • This product is not kept in stock, meaning we don’t pre-manufacture or store it.
  • When a customer places an order for the product via the website (in shop page), only then do we want the kitchen (manufacturing) to start preparing the product.
  • In short, we want the manufacturing process to trigger only after an order is placed, and there is no stock kept on hand.

I would appreciate any guidance on:

  1. How to configure the product in Odoo so that it triggers manufacturing after the order is placed.
  2. The correct setup of the BOM (Bill of Materials) and manufacturing orders for such a scenario.
  3. Any relevant settings to ensure a seamless flow from order placement to manufacturing.

I have tried set it up but in the website where I select the product I keep getting 'Out Of Stock'

Can someone help please?

Hi Anagha,
For this one you need to configure MTO (Make to Order) in product screen. 

Based on MTO when any Sales order are create based on that automatically MRP order create.
