Last question of the test at the end of this chapter:

Why is using WebP images beneficial for your Odoo website?

  1. They offer higher resolution than JPEG images.
  2. They are supported by all web browsers.
  3. They improve website loading speed.
  4. They require less storage space.


I think the third and fourth answers are both right. Because WebP images are much smaller, they need less server-side storage space and improve loading times.


Could someone please clarify this for me?

Hi,

First the quiz is not under e-commerce tutorial, It is under Website tutorial.

Second, to answer your question. It is true they require less storage space but the question is somewhat asking you to point the primary beneficial of using webp images.

The option "They require less storage space" is technically correct because WebP images are smaller in size compared to JPEG or PNG formats while maintaining similar quality. However, it's not the primary benefit
